This project aims to extend the scope of microbial genome annotation from functional assignment at the gene level, to the systematic generation of pathway assemblies and genome-scale metabolic models. Microme will provide a robust, scalable infrastructure integrating a curated repository of reference pathways with genome-scale constraint-based models and downstream applications in comparative genomics and biotechnology.
