These platforms are under the responsibility of engineers specialized in the nervous central system field and of a doctor of veterinary medicine, diplomate of European College of Veterinary Pathologists.

These platforms provide expertise and consulting for academic and industrial research partners on a collaborative collaborative or service basis. This encloses the realization of “classical” evaluations in anatomic pathology, including macroscopic and histopathologic analyses, as well as the development and evaluation of IHC, IF and ISH protocols. Image analysis, morphometry and automatic cell count complete the expertise provided by the platform.

Immunohistochemistry

This platform is dedicated of histological analysis in rodents, non-human primates and human brain tissues. The platform benefit of a large laboratory space provided with many high-tech and safety equipments ranging from tissue sampling to microscopy analysis.

ACTIVITIES

The histology platform team is specialized in nervous system histology and performs several types of histological techniques and developments (histological staining, enzymatic labeling, immunochemistry with chromogens or fluorescence, autoradiography, in situ hybridization) and carries out qualitative and quantitative analysis. The team also provides training for people who want to learn these techniques.

Anatomopathology

Studies are proceeded according to projects :

1. Evaluation and characterization of animal models (in non-human primates and rodents) of neurodegenerative diseases.

2. Evaluation of efficacy, biodistribution and toxicity of experimental therapeutics or viral vectors.
