Since early 2014, the
CNRGH Bank Laboratory has been equipped with a new L2 confinement laboratory dedicated to cell culturing. The laboratory enables the establishment and amplification of cell lines of human origin under optimum safety conditions. As a function of the needs of the research programs implemented at the
CNRGH, the L2 laboratory enables amplification of cell lines and extraction of the nucleic acids necessary for genomic, transcriptomic and epigenetic studies.

In addition to amplification of established cell lines, the
CNRGH has the ability to establish lymphoblastoid lines from purified peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) using the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection protocol. The process enables immortalization of the cells, thus generating an unlimited source of nucleic acids for large-scale studies. |
